Quackgrass is a perennial grassy weed that is very difficult to eradicate from a lawn. This persistent grassy weed can take over your lawn or invade open soil spaces rather quickly if left alone.
Quackgrass spreads by rhizomes and seed. This problematic perennial weed grass is not effected by common selective herbicides available today. Which simply means, standard weed control measures will not work on this particular weed grass.
Once identified, we have found that the only way to completely eliminate this unsightly grass is by applying a targeted liquid non-selective herbicide (glyphosate) application to actively growing quackgrass infestations found. Once treated quackgrass plants (and surrounding grass areas that made circumstantial foliar contact with the non-selective herbicide) are dead, lawn repairs can be performed to complete.
Please contact Pacocha Landscaping Services, Inc. to identify, eliminate and recover lawn areas previously taken over by quackgrass and other invasive weeds.
